PFAS Test Results
We just received our PFAS results from the DEQ. The results are based on parts per trillion (ppt). The Lifetime Health Advisory (LHA) level set by the EPA is 70 ppt. All three wells were tested and we only had a small detect of 11 ppt on one of our wells. The other two wells were non-detect, meaning 0 ppt.
Once we learned of this news, we immediately took the well with the slight detect offline until we can get some further guidance on how to proceed. We will be in communication with the DEQ before we take any additional actions. As we get recommendations from DEQ, we will keep you posted. The good news is that Otsego City Water is safe.
Thank you for your patience throughout this long turnaround time to get these results.

Parcel 0354-015-018-00
In 1996, the City of Otsego secured over 20 acres on the north west side of town which previously was used to grow Christmas trees.
The rectangular site has a gentle slope which rises to the north. Because this site adjoins industrial and residential areas, the city commission has not yet determined its best use.
The City is willing to consider all suggestions and proposals for the use of this site. The parcel number is 0354-015-018-00.
Parcel 0354-022-006-00
In 1995, the City obtained a heavy industrial site on the corner of Helen Avenue and North Street, parcel 0354-022-006-00.
This site is approximately 3.5 acres and has all utilities available.
The City is very interested in discussing this site with parties who are willing to make an investment in and bring additional jobs to our community.
