CITY OF OTSEGO
PUBLIC NOTICE
The City has been diligently watching the depth of the frost in the ground all winter. With the current cold temperatures, we are experiencing, we are receiving many calls regarding credits for running water. At this time, the City is not advising to run your water due to freezing, in regards to the City water mains. If you have had internal freezing issues in the past, such as discoloration of the water, and/or loss of pressure, you then should run a small pencil stream of water if this internal freezing issue occurs. Property owners who experience internal freezing issues, please be advised they are not the responsibility of the City and water credits are only administered when the freezing is related to the City mains, or advised by the City. The City will continue to monitor the depth of the frost and will advise residents of any updates via the Shopper’s Guide, our Website, and Facebook. If you have any questions, please contact City Hall at 692-3391.
