NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER A TEXT AMENDMENT TO THE CITY OF OTSEGO ZONING ORDINANCE

THE OTSEGO PLANNING COMMISSION WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING ON OCTOBER 26, 2026, AT THE OTSEGO FIRE DEPARTMENT, 117 EAST ORLEANS, OTSEGO, MI 49078, AT 7:00 P.M., LOCAL TIME, TO CONSIDER PUBLIC COMMENT REGARDING A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OTSEGO ZONING ORDINANCE RELATING TO CHAPTER 19 OF THE CITY OF OTSEGO ZONING ORDINANCE ADMINISTRATIVE AND ENFORCEMENT ADDING SECTION 19.12 – TEMPORARY MORATORIUM ON DATA CENTERS AND ENERGY FACILITIES.

A COPY OF THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT IS AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION AT THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK, 117 EAST ORLEANS, OTSEGO, MI 49078, DURING NORMAL CITY BUSINESS HOURS, MONDAY – THURSDAY, 7:30 A.M. TO 5:30 P.M., EXCLUDING CITY HOLIDAYS. WRITTEN COMMENTS CONCERNING THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT MAY BE SUBMITTED TO THE CITY CLERK BY FIRST CLASS MAIL OR IN PERSON UP TO THE MEETING TIME.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss a change to the Small Urban Project within the Otsego-Plainwell small urban area for FY2029.  THE OTSEGO CITY COMMISSION AT ITS AUGUST 3, 2026, REGULAR MEETING, CONSIDERED AND ADOPTED THE FOLLOWING AMENDMENT TO THE OTSEGO ZONING ORDINANCE – AMENDMENT OF CHAPTER 3 – GENERAL PROVISIONS, ADDITION OF ACCESSORY DWELLING UNIT REGULATIONS.

Public Notice – Road Construction

 This is to inform you of the upcoming Microsurface Treatment Project on the following Streets: 

  • North Fair 
  • North Platt 
  • North Wilmott 
  • Jewell 
  • Mitchell 
  • Court 
  • Edsell 

We have been informed that the microsurfacing will take place on July 29 & June 30, 2026. (Weather Dependent).
