Notice of Fall Leaf Pick-Up 2021 Extension
The public works department will continue to pick up leaves after November 19th. Leaves will be picked up randomly throughout the city until the street sweeper arrives in town. Please have your leaves out no later than 7am on Monday, November 29th.
Allegan street residents only- continue to place leaves in the curb lawn. Please do not place leaves near trees or poles, for easier access.
No specific dates are in place for canvassing the streets, due to this extension.
Loose leaves will no longer be picked up after the street sweeper has passed. For safety purposes – do not place leaves around drains and if snow plowing takes place, leaves may need to be raked back into the street.
Leaves may be taken to the city’s transfer station located off of Helen ave. Free of charge. The transfer station is open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9:00 A.M. To 11:45 A.M. And from 1:00 P.M. To 3:45 P.M.
