Notice of Ordinance #169

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTIONS 74-65, ARTICLE III- STOPPING, STANDING, AND PARKING OF CHAPTER 74 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF OTSEGO TO AMEND THE FRONT YARD PARKING ORDINANCE

This Ordinance amends the Code of Ordinances: Sections 74-65 of Chapter 74 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Otsego, Michigan are amended to read as follows:

Sec. 74-65.

Parking or storage of vehicles in front yards in residential districts.

(d) For the purposes of this section, the term “vehicle” shall mean any automobile, truck, motorcycle, snowmobile, boat (motorized or non-motorized including canoes and kayaks) or any trailer that is intended to be pulled behind a self-propelled vehicle of any kind. This includes trailers with contents within or on it as well as empty trailers. This Ordinance was offered for a second reading and adopted at the regular meeting of the Otsego City Commission, Monday, October 4, 2021, 7:00 p.m. Otsego City Hall, 117 E. Orleans St., Otsego, MI.

This Ordinance shall take effect twenty (20) days following adoption by the Otsego City Commission and upon publication of this summary in accordance with City Charter. Ordinance No. 169, will take effect on October 24, 2021.

Planning Commission Meeting Cancelled

The Planning Commission meeting scheduled for September 27, 2021 has been Cancelled due to a lack of a quorum.

The next regular meeting is scheduled for October 25, 2021.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss MDOT’s Small Urban Program call for projects for FY 2024-2026 in the small urban areas both the City of Otsego & the City of Plainwell. The HIPS-COVID relief fund will also be discussed. Persons who wish to comment on projects are encouraged to attend this meeting. The Otsego City Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 7, 2021,at City Hall, 117 East Orleans, Otsego, MI 49078, at 7:00 p.m., local time, to consider public comment regarding the allowance of chickens within the City limits.
