Notice of Commenting Period City of Otsego Planning Commission Draft Master Plan Update

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, in accordance with Article II of Act 33 of 2008, the Michigan Planning Enabling Act, City of Otsego, Allegan County, Michigan is in the process of amending its Master Plan. The draft Master Plan has hereby entered a period for public comment on Monday, June 16, 2025. 

Attached is an electronic copy of the proposed City of Otsego Master Plan for your review as a stakeholder within or near City of Otsego per the requirements of Act 33 of 2008, the Michigan Planning Enabling Act. Should you require a hard copy, please notify the City of Otsego’s City Clerk by first class mail at 117 E. Orleans Street, Otsego MI 49078, within ten (10) days. 

The final draft will be considered at Public Hearing on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the City of Otsego City Hall Chamber, 117 E. Orleans Street, Otsego, MI 49078. Written comments will be received until the night of the respective hearing at the above-stated address. 

City of Otsego will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services at the meetings to individuals with disabilities upon 72 hours advanced notice to the City. Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services should contact the City Clerk by email, phone, or mail.

 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 6 ANIMALS – SECTIONS 6-1, 6-7(b),  & ADDITION OF SECTION 6-10  ARTICLE I – IN GENERAL 

This Ordinance Amends Chapter 6 Animals – Sections 6-1; 6-7(b), & Addition of Section 16-10;  Article II. In General 

This Ordinance will be offered for a second reading and adoption at the regular meeting of the Otsego City Commission, Monday, July 7, 2025, 7:00 p.m. Otsego City Hall, 117 E. Orleans St., Otsego, MI. This Ordinance shall take effect twenty (20) days following adoption by the Otsego City Commission and upon publication of this summary in accordance with City Charter.

Notice of Public Hearing City of Otsego Planning Commission Master Plan Update

 Please take notice that the City of Otsego Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing during a meeting on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 7:00 PM, at the City of Otsego – City Commission Chambers, 117 E. Orleans Street, Otsego, MI 49078, for the purpose of considering a proposed Master Plan update. The public hearing will provide interested parties the opportunity to comment on the 2025 City of Otsego Master Plan, a guide for the use, development, and preservation of land in the City. 

Copies of the proposed Master Plan update are available for public viewing during regular business hours at City Hall or on the city website, www.cityofotsego.org 

Written comments will be received at the following address until the night of the hearing:
